Huawei Earns Three Major Awards at Network X 2025 in Paris
At the Network X 2025 ceremony held in Paris on October 24, 2025, Huawei received three prestigious awards, underscoring its leadership in the all-optical network sector. The company was honored with the titles of Most Innovative Optical Transport Use Case, Best Network AI Solution for Fibre Networks, and Outstanding Green Fibre. These accolades reflect Huawei’s commitment to innovation and excellence in optical transmission technologies.
Huawei’s advancements in the all-optical network domain are marked by significant technological breakthroughs. The company is pioneering developments in key areas such as 400G/800G and B1T ultra-high-speed transmission, C+L-band ultra-wide spectrum, and end-to-end OXC switching. These innovations not only enhance performance but also drive industry upgrades, enabling the transition to ultra-high-speed networks.
The company’s efforts in cutting-edge technologies, particularly in ultra-broadband data center interconnection and lossless transmission, facilitate seamless scheduling and collaboration of computing resources. This capability allows computing power to be accessed fluidly across regions, fostering efficiency and supporting the burgeoning digital economy.
Huawei’s recognition as the Most Innovative Optical Transport Use Case was a direct result of its advancements in intelligent technologies. The company has upgraded its Premium Broadband solution, enhancing user experience through the industry’s first Customer Experience Index (CEI) system. This system makes user experiences measurable and visible, addressing a longstanding challenge in optimizing service quality for carriers.
The introduction of the HBBMaster platform acts as the “smart brain” for home broadband operations. It employs advanced algorithms to automatically diagnose complex issues and provide swift, actionable solutions to improve user satisfaction. These innovations highlight Huawei’s strategy to capture new growth opportunities within the trillion-dollar home broadband market, contributing to its Best Network AI Solution for Fibre Networks award.
In addition to its technological advancements, Huawei has made significant strides in promoting energy efficiency. The company emphasizes green energy practices through intelligent operations and maintenance in access networks. By innovating across optical line terminals (OLTs), optical network terminals (ONTs), and network management systems, Huawei was distinguished with the Outstanding Green Fibre award.
Huawei’s intelligent OLT platform utilizes multi-level, fine-grained dynamic energy-saving technologies. This approach optimizes power efficiency at both traffic and system levels, effectively reducing energy consumption for idle devices in equipment rooms. Similarly, the ONT is designed to automatically decrease power usage during off-peak hours while maintaining user experience.
Moreover, Huawei’s management system enables carriers to dynamically adjust network energy efficiency based on real-time traffic and device status. This feature supports the automated deployment of energy-saving policies, steering optical networks toward a more sustainable future.
Following the awards, Kim Jin, Vice President of Huawei Optical Business Product Line, expressed the company’s dedication to advancing all-optical network evolution. He stated, “Huawei remains committed to advancing all-optical network evolution and driving continuous innovation. Looking ahead, Huawei will continue working with global carriers to embrace the new challenges and opportunities of the intelligent era, unlocking fresh growth and building an intelligent world together.”
Huawei’s achievements at Network X 2025 not only affirm its stronghold in the optical network space but also illustrate its ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability. As the company continues to lead in these areas, its impact on the global telecommunications landscape is expected to grow even further.
