Residents of Arkansas can now securely access their driver’s licenses and state IDs through Google Wallet, enhancing convenience and security in identity verification. This development follows a collaboration between IDEMIA Public Security North America and the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration, marking a significant step in the integration of mobile ID technology.

On October 15, 2025, IDEMIA announced the launch of the Arkansas Mobile ID feature in Google Wallet. This allows users to store their mobile ID securely and present it at participating Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoints nationwide, including at Little Rock (LIT) and Northwest Arkansas (XNA) airports. The functionality is not limited to travel; it also facilitates identity checks and age verification at various businesses and venues.

Adding a driver’s license or state ID to Google Wallet is straightforward. Arkansans can open the Google Wallet app, select “Add to Wallet,” then choose “ID Card,” and follow the on-screen prompts. IDEMIA’s ongoing partnership with Google aims to expand the use of mobile IDs, reinforcing the commitment to providing secure and convenient identity solutions for residents across the United States.

Rob Gardner, CEO of IDEMIA Civil Identity, expressed enthusiasm about this advancement, stating, “I continue to grow excited about the future of mobile ID as we enable another state to give their residents access to a secure, convenient identity credential through Google Wallet.” He emphasized that this launch is just the beginning of mobile ID’s potential.

Google Wallet empowers users to manage their digital identities effectively, ensuring that personal data is stored securely and shared only with user consent. The data is encrypted, providing an added layer of security during transactions and identity verifications.

Arkansans can also continue using the free Arkansas Mobile ID app, which was launched in March 2025 by IDEMIA. This app provides another channel for accessing mobile ID features, further enhancing the options available to residents.

As mobile ID technology evolves, IDEMIA remains at the forefront, committed to ensuring that state residents can navigate their identities with enhanced security and ease. For additional details about the Arkansas Mobile ID and its integration with Google Wallet, visit the IDEMIA website.
