WE Fest Thrills Fans with Full Day of Music at Soo Pass Ranch

As the sun set over the vibrant landscape of Soo Pass Ranch on August 3, 2023, the WE Fest kicked off its first full day of exhilarating music. Featured artists Sammy Kershaw, Treaty Oak Revival, and Ashley McBryde captivated the main stage audience, building excitement in anticipation of Hardy‘s headlining performance later that evening. The festival atmosphere remained electric, with music resonating from smaller stages throughout the venue, keeping spirits high during transitions between acts.
The event attracted a diverse crowd, from long-time attendees to first-time festival-goers. The sun bore down during the afternoon as Bayker Blankenship kicked off the festivities on the main stage, drawing in a steady flow of concert enthusiasts. Among them were Valerie Vogle from Bismarck, North Dakota, and Cathy Murphy from Dent, Minnesota, who proudly celebrated their 30th consecutive year at WE Fest. Both women initially joined the festival after their sons began attending, discovering that it was far more enjoyable to participate than to simply drop them off.
“I have a son, a daughter, and two grandkids here, so three generations of us,” Vogle shared, reflecting on their enduring family tradition. Both retired educators, they appreciated the festival’s lively atmosphere, excellent music, and delectable food offerings. Murphy mentioned that one of her former students, Javier Quiroz, was performing on the Bacardi Country Club stage, adding a personal touch to their experience.
For newcomers to the festival, Vogle offered a simple yet heartfelt piece of advice that she has shared with her family over the years: “Have fun and be safe.” This sentiment encapsulated the spirit of the event, where attendees danced in the grass, couples swayed to acoustic melodies, and groups of friends enjoyed the camaraderie that music festivals foster.
In addition to the musical performances, festival-goers could indulge in various activities. Between sets, attendees could be found riding mechanical bulls, shopping at vendor stalls, and sampling diverse food options available throughout the grounds. This blend of entertainment ensured that there was something for everyone, making the first full day of WE Fest a memorable experience for all.
As the night approached, the energy in the air was palpable, with fans eagerly awaiting Hardy’s performance. Such moments at WE Fest not only highlight the love for music but also the strong sense of community among attendees, making it a cherished event in the hearts of many.
