Knaus Berry Farm, a cherished establishment in Miami, has undergone a significant transition with new ownership and a relocation. Originally founded in 1956 by the Knaus family, the farm began as a roadside stand where brothers Russell and Ray Knaus sold strawberries, accompanied by baked goods from Ray’s wife, Barbara Knaus. Over the decades, it became a beloved destination for locals, known for its fresh produce, creamy milkshakes, and especially its renowned cinnamon rolls.

The farm had been situated on Southwest 248th Street near Southwest 157th Avenue since its establishment in 1959. The new location, however, is further north, near Krome Avenue and Southwest 168th Street, on property owned by Sam S. Accursio & Sons Farms, a family farm that has been operational in South Florida for nearly 70 years.

The new ownership team includes Joel White, who previously served as vice president of marketing for Genuine Hospitality, and local investor Sunil Bhatt, the current CEO and co-owner of Genuine Holdings. They are joined by other local investors in this venture aimed at preserving the legacy of Knaus Berry Farm while introducing it to a new generation of customers.

This transition is not only a change of ownership but also signifies a new chapter for a landmark that has seen generations of families return season after season. Customers are expected to continue their tradition of visiting the farm for its iconic offerings, which have made it a staple in the community. The move comes with hopes of expanding the farm’s reach and possibly enhancing the customer experience while maintaining the quality that fans have come to love over the years.

As Knaus Berry Farm opens its doors at the new site, it will be interesting to see how the new management preserves its heritage while adapting to modern demands. The community looks forward to the continued offering of fresh produce and baked goods that have defined Knaus Berry Farm since its inception.
