Community Mourns Loss of Tim Nagle, Beloved Golfer and Family Man
Timothy J. Nagle, a cherished member of the Allentown community, passed away unexpectedly on December 23, 2025, at the age of 54. Known for his vibrant personality and love for golf, Nagle’s death followed a lengthy battle with various health conditions. His passing has left a profound void in the lives of his family and friends.
Born on April 3, 1971, to the late Regina (Gallagher) and Morris Nagle, Tim spent his childhood on the East Side of Allentown. He attended Our Lady Help of Christians School before graduating from Allentown Central Catholic High School in 1989. In June 1997, he married his beloved wife, Lisa Ebert, and together they welcomed two sons, Evan and Jack, into their lives.
Nagle was a lifelong resident of Allentown, making significant contributions to the local golf scene. He became known as a skilled player, with some referring to him as a “scratch golfer.” His passion for the game led him to develop friendships on courses across the Lehigh Valley and beyond. Nagle’s enthusiasm was infectious; he often shared tips and good-natured banter with fellow golfers, fostering a sense of camaraderie.
In addition to his golfing pursuits, Nagle held various positions throughout his career. He worked at Pipeline Petroleum in Macungie and at Blue Mountain Ski Resort in Palmerton. In 2014, he took a significant step by opening and managing Blue Shamrock Golf Club in Palmerton. Under his leadership, the club flourished, becoming a popular golfing destination in the region.
Nagle’s love for adventure extended beyond golf. He and Lisa often traveled together, exploring destinations such as Bermuda, Florida, Ireland, Italy, Austria, and New Zealand. Skiing was another passion, with the family frequently visiting Blue Mountain and other ski areas.
Fishing was a cherished hobby for Nagle, who began his angling journey at Saylors Lake and local creeks. He often incorporated fishing into family trips, enjoying both the tranquility of the sport and the thrill of deep-sea fishing adventures. Friends recall that while patience was not one of Nagle’s defining traits, he always exhibited it while fishing, resulting in many successful outings.
Nagle’s vibrant spirit and generosity made him a central figure in his social circles. He was known for his ability to bring people together, whether through telling jokes, preparing meals, or simply ensuring that everyone felt welcome and included. His warmth and approachability meant that he often struck up conversations with strangers, making friends wherever he went.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa; sons Evan and Jack; father-in-law Bruce Ebert; sister-in-law Tari Ebert; sister Jane Nagle (Richard McDermott); brothers Michael Nagle (Megan O’Donnell) and Matthew Nagle; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Private funeral services have already taken place, and arrangements were handled by the O’Donnell Funeral Home in Allentown. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Nagle’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association, Kate’s House of Paws, or The Sanctuary at Haafsville.
