Community Mourns Allen N. Levesque, Beloved Lowell Resident

Allen N. Levesque, a cherished member of the Lowell community, passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 77. His death followed a period of declining health. Born on October 29, 1948, in Van Buren, Maine, he was the son of the late Claude and Cecile Gagnon Levesque.

A long-time resident of Lowell, Allen also lived in Dracut and Rochester, New Hampshire, where he made lasting connections and friendships. Throughout his career, he worked as a drywall installer and maintenance worker, contributing significantly to the greater Lowell area. Allen was proud to be a member of the Carpenters Union, which reflected his commitment to his trade and community.

Personal Life and Legacy

Allen was a devoted family man, survived by his two children, Sonia Abreu and her husband, Jim, as well as Andre Levesque and his wife, Tracy. He was also a loving grandfather to five grandchildren: James and Brian Abreu, Drew Carbonneau, Ava, and Lily Levesque. His legacy continues through his family, which includes his former wives, Marie-Beth Rodrigue and Claire Fournier, along with her children, Michelle and John Elie.

Outside of work and family, Allen was known for his diverse interests. He enjoyed bowling, playing cribbage, and horseshoes. Gardening was a cherished hobby, and he had a passion for dancing and country music. He was also a devoted fan of the Boston Bruins, often seen cheering for the team alongside friends and family.

Funeral Arrangements

Allen’s passing has left a void in the hearts of many. He is also survived by his sisters, Maryline Gagnon and Therese Rodrigue, along with his brother-in-law, Yvon Rodrigue, and his longtime companion, Maryann Beaupre. He leaves behind a sister-in-law, Jeanne M. Levesque, and numerous nieces and nephews. Allen was predeceased by several siblings, including Rolande Vaillancourt, Roger Levesque, Clarence Levesque, and Georgette Levesque, as well as brothers-in-law Percy Gagnon, Delton Vaillancourt, and Vincent Goforth.

In honor of his life, family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass scheduled for December 6, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Ste. Marguerite D’Youville Parish, located at 1340 Lakeview Ave, Dracut. Following the service, interment will be private. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Laurin Funeral Home in Lowell.

Allen N. Levesque’s contributions to his community and the love he shared with his family will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
