Texas A&M and Stetson Unite for Exclusive Hat Collection Launch

Texas A&M University has announced a groundbreaking partnership with the renowned hat manufacturer Stetson to launch a college-branded, Western-inspired hat collection. This collaboration marks the first of its kind in the United States and will debut at the Aggies’ football home opener on August 30, 2023.
Fans attending the game can visit a special hat branding station, where they will have the opportunity to personalize their Stetson hats. Additional promotional activities are planned to enhance the event experience, and the hats will also be available for purchase at the Texas A&M University Bookstore.
Shane Hinckley, the university’s chief business development officer, emphasized the significance of this partnership. “Texas A&M and Stetson are two iconic brands that stand for legacy, leadership, and the courage to forge your own path,” he stated. “This partnership isn’t just about style; it’s about spirit. It’s about honoring the grit of the frontier and the determination of every Aggie who dares to lead. It speaks to the core of the Aggie Spirit: visionary, bold, and enduring.”
The partnership will see Stetson collaborate with only six other universities during the season through a partnership with CLC, the leading collegiate brand licensing agency in the United States. Known for its premium, Western-inspired headwear, Stetson has become a staple in pop culture, favored by both fashion-forward individuals and celebrities. The hats are designed in collaboration with leading collegiate licensee L2 Brands, ensuring that each hat features the unique branding of each participating university, elegantly integrated into the hat band.
“College sports have a way of bringing people together, and that’s exactly what we wanted this collection to do,” said Robert Dundon, CEO of Stetson. “We’re proud to put the Stetson name alongside these schools — it feels like a natural match. Fans will see their own spirit and tradition reflected in a brand that’s been part of American culture for over 160 years.”
The Aggie collegiate hats will be exclusively available at the Texas A&M University Bookstore, located in the Memorial Student Center. This partnership not only strengthens the brand presence of both Texas A&M and Stetson but also offers fans a unique way to express their school pride through stylish headwear. As the football season commences, excitement is building around this new collection, which promises to resonate with the vibrant spirit of the Aggie community.
