Orr Fellowship Opens Applications for 2026 Cohort in Indianapolis

The Orr Fellowship is inviting applications for its 2026 cohort, targeting graduating seniors who aspire to make a meaningful impact in Indianapolis. Since its inception in 2001, the fellowship has partnered with over 270 companies, offering recent graduates a unique opportunity to engage in business leadership and innovation over a two-year period. The program is designed to nurture the next generation of leaders in the local business community.
Eligibility and Application Process
To qualify for the Orr Fellowship, applicants must be graduating seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.2 who demonstrate a strong desire to step into leadership roles. According to Xavier Ramirez, the director of recruitment for the fellowship, the ideal candidate is “somebody who is hungry, who is excited to make change.” This focus on ambition and commitment reflects the fellowship’s goal of fostering impactful leaders.
The application process consists of four distinct stages. It begins with an initial application that includes submitting a resume. Following this, candidates participate in network interviews with the executive team, attend a reception to network with current fellows and partner companies, and conclude with a finalist day featuring multiple interviews. This structured process helps ensure that participants are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Community and Support
The Orr Fellowship prides itself on providing a supportive community for its participants. Catherine Mizanek, the senior director of engagement, emphasizes the importance of this community: “We provide you a community of 120 people who are here to support you, to lift you up, and to help you achieve your professional dreams.” This network not only enhances professional development but also fosters lasting connections among fellows.
As the 2026 cohort application window opens, the Orr Fellowship continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of business leadership in Indianapolis. Graduating seniors are encouraged to apply and seize the opportunity to contribute to their community while advancing their careers.
