Orlando Science Center Hosts Engaging Noon Year’s Eve Celebration
The Orlando Science Center provided a festive atmosphere for families on December 31, 2025, during its annual Noon Year’s Eve celebration. This event featured a variety of engaging activities designed to entertain and educate young visitors as they prepared to ring in the new year.
Children like Zoey Williams, age 4, and Lily Setts, age 5, were seen joyfully decorating paper crowns at the crafts station, showcasing their creativity. Families participated in hands-on activities, creating their own festive items to take home. Vicky Xu and her daughter Aria Xu, age 4, collaborated to craft sparkler replicas, adding to the event’s celebratory spirit.
Interactive Science Exhibits Captivate Young Minds
In addition to craft activities, the Orlando Science Center offered interactive science demonstrations. Presenter Solaris Coton assisted children like Julian Guthrie, age 4, with a noise maker craft, providing a sensory experience that combined fun and learning. The excitement continued as Kai Tawill, age 2, engaged in making his own noise maker, filling the venue with joyful sounds.
The highlight of the day was the “Best Of 2025 Live Science Show,” conducted by science presenter and program designer Angelisse Perez. During the show, Perez captivated the audience with a fire tornado demonstration, illustrating the principles of combustion and airflow in a visually striking manner. Another memorable moment occurred when she used a Van de Graaff generator to showcase static electricity, humorously demonstrating its effects as her hair stood on end.
The Noon Year’s Eve event not only provided a platform for children to explore their creativity but also encouraged a love for science through engaging presentations. The Orlando Science Center continues to be a vital resource for educational entertainment, fostering curiosity among young learners in the community.
As families wrapped up their celebrations, the event underscored the importance of shared experiences and learning in a fun environment. The Orlando Science Center’s commitment to providing accessible and interactive educational opportunities remains a cornerstone of its mission, ensuring that children leave with both memories and newfound knowledge.
