A new educational facility has officially opened in California’s Central Valley, providing a fresh start for students. The **Terry P. Bradley Educational Center** in the Clovis Unified School District welcomed approximately **1,000 students** on **August 18, 2023**. This campus, situated on agricultural land in Fresno, currently accommodates grades **7 to 9** through its intermediate and high schools.

The center is designed with future growth in mind, featuring ample space to potentially evolve into a comprehensive K-12 campus capable of enrolling around **4,000 students**. According to **Kelly Avants**, the chief communications officer for Clovis Unified School District, the strategic layout allows for operational efficiencies in infrastructure while providing academic continuity for students as they progress through their educational journey.

Vision for Educational Growth

Avants emphasized the importance of having the schools located on the same plot of land. This configuration enables younger students to visually connect with their future educational environment as they transition from elementary to high school.

“They’re built on one plot of land so that we can maximize the efficiencies of pulling utilities and doing the infrastructure work, as well as the academic benefits of having students be able to see it when they’re in elementary school,” Avants said. She added that the design aims to foster a sense of achievement and community among students as they strive to obtain their high school diplomas.

The opening of the **Terry P. Bradley Educational Center** marks a significant development for the Clovis community, where educational resources have been a priority amid growing population demands. The district’s commitment to expanding educational facilities is evident, reflecting a proactive approach to meet the needs of its residents.

With this new center, Clovis Unified School District aims to enhance educational opportunities and provide a supportive environment for students to thrive academically. As the campus develops over time, it is expected to play a key role in shaping the future of education in the region.
