The summit will be held at the Comstock Memorial Union and will feature a variety of speakers from Minnesota State Moorhead, ABM Technology Group, PAX8, and local K-12 districts. The agenda is divided into two main themes, with the first day dedicated to business applications of AI.

Exploring AI in Business

On October 27, the session titled “Leading Business in the Age of AI” will delve into crucial topics such as agentic AI, ethics and bias mitigation, data governance, security, and return on investment. Participants will gain insights into how AI can transform business strategies and operations.

Educators’ Focus on AI Integration

The following day, October 28, will cater specifically to educators through the session “Learning in the Age of AI.” This portion of the summit will feature a keynote address by Sean Beaverson from the Minnesota Education Generative AI Alliance for Education. Attendees can expect breakout sessions that cover pedagogy, critical AI literacy, innovative teaching methods, and practical frameworks for evaluating AI tools in the classroom.

The cost of registration for the business event is set at $25, while the education event costs $15. Both fees include lunch. Interested participants can register through the MSUM Foundation AI Innovation Summit website.

On October 29, the summit will host the AI High School Challenge, inviting students from various high schools in the region. This competitive event will allow teams to learn from faculty and industry experts while tackling community problems utilizing AI solutions. There will be prizes awarded to both the winning team and their school, including scholarships.

Registration for the high school event can be completed via the AI High School Challenge website, providing an exciting opportunity for students to engage with the latest advancements in AI technology.
