Remembering Nicholas Dionisio: A Life of Service and Dedication

Nicholas “Nick” A. Dionisio, aged 75, passed away on December 19, 2025, in Uniontown. A native of Oliphant Furnace, he was the son of the late Anthony and Louise Dionisio. His contributions to his community and family will be remembered as a testament to his character and dedication.

Born on October 16, 1950, Dionisio graduated from Fairchance-Georges High School in 1968. Following his graduation, he relocated to Baltimore, Maryland, where he began a career at John D. Copanos Pharmaceutical Company. He worked there diligently until May 2023, when he returned to his hometown of Uniontown.

Dionisio is survived by his sister, Antoinette Dionisio, who resides in Hopwood. His family has expressed their gratitude for the support received during this difficult time.

Friends and family will have the opportunity to pay their respects at the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, located at 134 West Church Street, Fairchance. The visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 14:00 to 16:00 and again from 18:00 to 20:00. On Wednesday, December 24, prayers will be offered at 09:30, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 at SS. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church, situated at 50 North Morgantown Street, Fairchance.

After the service, interment will occur at Mountain View Memorial Park in Brownfield, where Dionisio will be laid to rest. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and in the community he served.
