Pet owners in Argyle, Texas, will have the opportunity to access free and low-cost vaccinations for their pets this weekend. The event, organized by the Denton Animal Support Foundation, Humane Tomorrow, and the Texas Coalition for Animal Protection, is set to take place on Saturday, October 4, 2023, from 10:00 to 12:00 at the Humane Tomorrow facility located at 1961 E. Hickory Hill Road.

The Denton Animal Support Foundation, established in 2006, aims to promote humane treatment for animals, reduce pet homelessness and neglect, and assist shelter pets in finding loving homes. According to the foundation’s CEO, Dena Guyette, this initiative marks an exciting expansion of their vaccine clinic offerings.

“This year, we are thrilled to introduce a mobile clinic in Argyle through our new partnership with Humane Tomorrow,” Guyette stated. The clinic will provide free rabies vaccinations and microchips for pets belonging to residents of Denton County. In addition to these services, other vaccines will also be available at a low cost.

The partnership with the Texas Coalition for Animal Protection enhances the foundation’s ability to reach more pets and families in need. “By making core vaccines and microchips more accessible, we’re helping protect pets while reducing the number of lost, abandoned, and unvaccinated animals in Denton County,” Guyette explained.

No appointments are needed for this event, and services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Pet owners are advised to ensure that dogs are leashed and cats are in carriers during their visit to the clinic.

This initiative comes at a crucial time as communities continue to grapple with the challenges of pet overpopulation and health issues. By offering these essential services, the organizations involved hope to make a significant impact on the well-being of pets in the area.

For pet owners looking to protect their furry companions, this clinic represents a valuable opportunity to ensure vaccinations are up to date and that pets are microchipped, greatly enhancing their chances of being reunited with their families if lost.
