Jamestown Students Celebrate Graduation at UND Summer Ceremony

On August 8, 2025, the University of North Dakota (UND) held its 104th Summer Commencement ceremony at the Chester Fritz Performing Arts Center in Grand Forks. Over 500 students graduated, including two outstanding individuals from Jamestown.

Honors and Achievements

Among the graduates were Jenna Fischer and Daniel Lureen, both earning their degrees with the highest honors. Fischer received a Bachelor of General Studies in general studies, graduating summa cum laude. Lureen achieved the remarkable distinction of graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in social science and a Bachelor of Science in geography, with a second major in environmental studies.
