TD Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario, is set to launch a transformative era in live sports and entertainment on November 21, 2025, with a sold-out concert featuring Sir Paul McCartney. After an extensive 18-month renovation costing $300 million, the 463,000-square-foot venue is equipped with advanced technology, enhanced hospitality spaces, and an exciting new culinary lineup, positioning it as a premier destination for entertainment.

Innovative Design and Guest Experience

Under the guidance of the Oak View Group, the revamped TD Coliseum integrates cutting-edge design elements with state-of-the-art technology. Guests can utilize the TD Coliseum Mobile App to plan their visits, featuring mobile ticketing, venue maps, and access to merchandise. This approach aims to create a seamless experience for all attendees.

“TD Coliseum was reimagined for Hamilton and the guests who bring it to life,” said Nick DeLuco, Senior Vice President and General Manager for TD Coliseum at Oak View Group. “Every improvement from the concourses to the clubs was designed to make attending a concert or event more enjoyable and memorable.”

Acknowledging the collaborative efforts of its partners, the venue’s transformation features sponsorship from TD Bank Group and investments from organizations such as Live Nation Canada, Asahi Canada, Rogers, Seeing Red, and Ticketmaster. These partnerships underscore a commitment to enhancing local culture and elevating live entertainment experiences.

Culinary Offerings and Premium Amenities

A standout feature of the new TD Coliseum is its focus on hospitality and food options. Curated by OVG Hospitality, the culinary offerings showcase local ingredients and culinary creativity. Guests can indulge in signature items such as Fizzy Feathers’ Buffalo Chicken Poutine, Dip City’s French Dip Sandwiches, and Casa Escobar’s Carnitas Nachos. The venue also introduces celebrated Canadian chef Matty Matheson with his concepts, Matty’s Patty’s and Rizzo’s House of Parm, alongside former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal’s Big Chicken, marking its debut in Canada.

The beverage selection is equally impressive, featuring Asahi Canada products and local options from Peller Estates, ensuring that guests enjoy a variety of premium drinks throughout the venue.

Accessibility remains a priority, with eight autonomous grab-and-go markets and contactless payment options aimed at enhancing guest convenience. The venue has also improved seating and accessibility features, including universal washrooms and expanded accessible seating, ensuring all guests can enjoy events comfortably.

Technological Advancements and Sustainable Practices

The TD Coliseum incorporates smart technology to streamline operations and enhance guest interactions. A new Daktronics three-sided marquee and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi keep guests connected, while advanced security measures ensure a smooth entry experience at all public gates.

Sustainability is integral to the venue’s design, with energy-efficient systems and waste-reduction programs at the forefront. Membership in GOAL (Green Operations & Advanced Leadership) reflects a commitment to responsible environmental practices, further supported by a robust recycling program and local sourcing initiatives.

As the inaugural season approaches, early highlights include performances from Sonu Nigam on November 23, Andrea Bocelli on December 9, and a PWHL Takeover Tour Game on January 3, 2026. The venue will also host the 2026 JUNO Awards on March 29, emphasizing its role as a significant hub for live entertainment in Canada.
