Nike has introduced an upgraded version of its popular Vomero 18 running shoe, specifically designed for winter conditions. This new model features a waterproof Gore-Tex lining, reflective 3M material, and enhanced rubber outsoles, making it suitable for wet weather. The Beaverton, Oregon-based brand initially launched the Vomero 18 in February 2025, and the latest iteration is now available in five men’s styles and three women’s colorways.

The new Vomero 18 retains the same dual-density combination of ZoomX foam and ReactX foam, which provides excellent cushioning and support for runners. However, the shoe’s construction has been upgraded to include a waterproof Gore-Tex lining paired with a technical mesh, replacing the standard engineered mesh build from the original model. This ensures that runners can stay dry without compromising on comfort.

Design Features and Color Options

Each colorway of the Vomero 18 includes reflective accents that enhance visibility in low-light conditions, a crucial feature as daylight saving time comes to an end. The outsole has also been updated with Storm-Tread rubber, providing improved traction on slippery surfaces, making it an ideal choice for winter running.

Men can choose from a variety of styles, including Black/Anthracite, Pure Platinum/Light Pumice/Barely Green/Metallic Silver, Seaweed/Cannon/Volt/Barely Volt, White/Pure Platinum, and Black/Anthracite/White/Metallic Silver. Women have the option of Black/Crimson Tint/Black/Black and Seaweed/Light Liquid Lime/Cyber/Seaweed.

Despite these enhancements, runners can expect the Vomero 18 to perform similarly to the original model, which has gained popularity not only as a performance running shoe but also as a lifestyle choice. Much like the Pegasus Premium, the Vomero 18’s combination of plush comfort and appealing colorways makes it a versatile option for everyday wear.

Pricing and Availability

The upgraded Vomero 18 does come at a premium price point. The standard model retails for $155, while the Gore-Tex version is priced at $180. Both models are currently available for purchase on nike.com and at select retail locations.

Nike continues to innovate in the footwear space, ensuring that runners have access to high-quality shoes that perform well in various conditions. With this latest upgrade to the Vomero 18, the brand reinforces its commitment to providing runners with the tools they need to excel, regardless of the weather.
