Resecurity Teams with Duke University to Enhance Cybersecurity Education

Resecurity, Inc., a prominent player in cyber threat intelligence and security solutions, has announced a partnership with Duke University’s Masters of Engineering in Cybersecurity program. This collaboration, revealed on August 4, 2025, aims to enrich the educational experience by integrating Resecurity’s advanced cyber threat intelligence (CTI) tools into the curriculum.
As part of this initiative, Resecurity will provide Duke University with complimentary access to its Context cloud-based CTI platform, valued at $1 million annually. This platform will enable students and faculty to engage in real-world threat detection and analysis, facilitating lab exercises, research projects, and capstone initiatives. According to Art Ehuan, Executive Director of the Duke Cybersecurity Master of Engineering program, this collaboration allows students to gain firsthand experience in the cyber defense industry while still pursuing their studies.
In addition to platform access, Resecurity will deliver specialized guest lectures and workshops on threat intelligence, advise on student projects, and offer internship opportunities. The agreement also includes ongoing technical support for faculty and lab use, ensuring that the cybersecurity education at Duke remains robust and relevant.
Resecurity’s Chief Operations Officer, Shawn Loveland, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Academic partnerships are critical to bridging the gap between education and the realities of cybercrime and nation-state threats.” The integration of Resecurity’s technology and expertise is set to commence immediately, impacting dozens of students in the upcoming academic year.
Enhancing Cybersecurity Skills and Knowledge
This partnership underscores the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and industry leaders in addressing the growing challenges in cybersecurity. With cyber threats becoming increasingly sophisticated, equipping students with the necessary tools and knowledge is vital. The Context platform will provide practical experience, aligning academic learning with industry standards.
Duke University’s cybersecurity initiatives focus not only on technical skills but also on the ethical, legal, and policy dimensions of digital security. The program encourages students to engage in practical experiences through various research labs and interdisciplinary projects, including the Duke Cyber Team and the Cyber Policy and Gender Violence Initiative.
Duke University, located in Durham, NC, is recognized as one of the leading research universities in the United States. Its global outreach includes partnerships with institutions such as the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School in Singapore and Duke Kunshan University in China.
The collaboration with Resecurity is expected to enhance Duke’s curriculum significantly and empower the next generation of cybersecurity professionals to navigate the complex landscape of digital threats. As the demand for skilled cybersecurity experts continues to rise, this partnership represents a progressive step towards fostering innovation and resilience in the field.
Resecurity, founded in 2016, is known for its comprehensive cybersecurity services that include endpoint protection, fraud prevention, and risk management, making it one of the most innovative companies in the sector. Recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the top ten fastest-growing private cybersecurity firms in Los Angeles, Resecurity continues to expand its influence through partnerships that support educational initiatives worldwide.
As cyber threats evolve, the need for well-equipped professionals will only grow. This collaboration between Resecurity and Duke University sets a precedent for future educational partnerships, aiming to produce adept professionals ready to tackle the challenges of an increasingly digital world.
