Resecurity and Duke University Forge Groundbreaking Cybersecurity Partnership

On August 4, 2025, Resecurity, Inc. announced a strategic collaboration with Duke University to enhance the university’s Masters of Engineering in Cybersecurity program. This partnership is designed to integrate Resecurity’s advanced cyber threat intelligence (CTI) tools and expertise into the educational curriculum, providing students with crucial hands-on experience.
Enhancing Cybersecurity Education
As part of the agreement, Resecurity will grant Duke University complimentary access to its Context cloud-based CTI platform, valued at $1 million annually. This access will allow students and faculty to engage with real-world scenarios involving threat detection and analysis. The initiative aims to enrich lab exercises, support research projects, and facilitate graduation assignments, enabling learners to cultivate skills akin to those practiced by industry professionals.
According to Art Ehuan, Executive Director of the Duke Cybersecurity Master of Engineering program, “This collaboration with Resecurity allows our students to experience more of the cyber defense industry while they are still at Duke. It’s not just about tools—it’s about developing the mindset to tackle rapidly evolving global threats.”
In addition to platform access, Resecurity will provide specialized guest lectures, on-campus workshops on threat intelligence, guidance for student capstone projects, and internship opportunities. The partnership reflects a commitment to bolster educational resources and enhance Duke University’s digital resilience.
Bridging Education and Industry
Resecurity’s Chief Operations Officer, Shawn Loveland, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “Resecurity is excited to support Duke in developing the next generation of cyber defenders. Academic partnerships are critical to bridging the gap between education and the realities of cybercrime and nation-state threats.” The integration of Resecurity’s technology and expertise is set to commence immediately, impacting dozens of students in the forthcoming academic year.
Founded in 2016, Resecurity has established itself as a notable player in the cybersecurity landscape, providing a comprehensive platform for endpoint protection, fraud prevention, risk management, and cyber threat intelligence. The company has been recognized for its innovative approach, recently being named one of the Top 10 fastest-growing private cybersecurity companies in Los Angeles by Inc. Magazine. Resecurity’s mission focuses on enabling organizations to effectively combat cyber threats, irrespective of their complexity.
Duke University, situated in Durham, North Carolina, is renowned for its research capabilities and is consistently ranked among the top universities in the United States. The university’s cybersecurity initiatives emphasize both technical skills and the ethical, legal, and policy dimensions of digital security. With a global outreach through institutions like the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School in Singapore and Duke Kunshan University in China, Duke aims to prepare its students for the challenges posed by the evolving landscape of cybersecurity.
Through this partnership, the collaboration between Resecurity and Duke University represents a significant step towards fostering a robust educational environment that prepares students to navigate the complexities of cybersecurity in an increasingly digital world.
