AWS has announced a strategic partnership with Nvidia aimed at developing cutting-edge “AI Factories.” This collaboration was unveiled at the AWS re:Invent 2025 event and represents a significant step in enhancing the infrastructure available to businesses and governments for artificial intelligence (AI) projects. The initiative seeks to integrate advanced hardware and software to create facilities that will optimize AI workloads effectively.

The newly proposed AI Factories will leverage Nvidia’s robust AI hardware alongside AWS’s latest innovations, including their Trainium chips, networking solutions, and database technology. This combination is expected to allow organizations to scale their AI capabilities more efficiently, ultimately reducing the time and costs associated with deploying complex AI systems.

Nvidia is also in the process of constructing an “AI Megafactory” for Samsung, equipped with an impressive 50,000 GPUs. This ambitious project signals a broader trend toward centralized AI production facilities that could fundamentally alter how companies approach AI development.

The partnership between AWS and Nvidia aims to streamline the process of building and running large language models (LLMs) at scale. Clients will gain access to a comprehensive suite of Nvidia’s AI software, including the latest NVIDIA Grace Blackwell and NVIDIA Vera Rubin platforms. Notably, the integration of Nvidia’s NVLink Fusion technology with AWS’s infrastructure will enhance the performance of the next-generation Trainium4 chips, further supporting AI development.

According to Ian Buck, Vice President and General Manager of Hyperscale and HPC at Nvidia, “Large-scale AI requires a full-stack approach—from advanced GPUs and networking to software and services that optimize every layer of the data center. Together with AWS, we’re delivering all of this directly into customers’ environments.” This statement underlines the commitment both companies have towards facilitating innovation rather than merely focusing on system integration.

The implementation of AI Factories is anticipated to create a more customized and secure environment for clients, functioning similarly to a private AWS region. This capability enables businesses to maintain greater control over their AI projects while benefiting from the combined strengths of AWS and Nvidia’s technologies.

As the demand for advanced AI solutions continues to rise, this collaboration could signal a transformative phase in how organizations utilize AI. The implications of such advancements are vast, potentially impacting various sectors and allowing for more sophisticated applications of artificial intelligence.

Overall, the partnership between AWS and Nvidia marks a pivotal moment in the tech industry, positioning both companies to lead in the rapidly evolving landscape of AI infrastructure.
