He also emphasized his commitment to enhancing the city’s revenue streams, particularly through the introduction of a lodging tax associated with a new hotel project. “This funding will be used to help with work around the square,” Rose explained, illustrating his proactive approach to local governance.

During the meeting, fellow council members and city officials praised Rose for his dedication and service. Nino Piccoli, the Service Director, acknowledged his efforts, stating, “You always had the best interest of your constituents at heart.” Police Chief Ed Kinney expressed appreciation for Rose’s support of the police department, emphasizing the collaborative spirit during his tenure.

Kimberly Marshall, the Economic Development Director, also recognized Rose’s contributions. “Paul, I know you’re a patriot and it’s been a pleasure working with you,” she remarked, reinforcing the respect he garnered from his peers.
